Actor Luke Wilson and golfer Bill Haas were involved in a Los Angeles crash that left the driver of a Ferrari dead.
The driver of the Ferrari lost control and hit two vehicles, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division said.
The Ferrari was going down North Chautauqua Boulevard in Pacific Palisades at around 6:30 p.m. when the driver lost control, hitting a BMW.
Wilson was in a third vehicle, an SUV, when the crash took place. His vehicle was “impacted” by the Ferrari, but there were no injuries, an LAPD spokesperson said. Wilson wasn’t hurt.
Haas, 35, was treated at a hospital and was later released, his manager told Fox. Haas was shaken up and withdrew from this week’s Genesis Open in Los Angeles, he said.
“He appreciates the support of friends, family and the golf world as a whole, and he has asked for privacy as he processes what has happened,” the statement noted.
The crash is under investigation. Other details weren’t clear.
Wilson, who is the brother of actor Owen Wilson, hasn’t released a statement about the crash.
He added: “His vehicle just basically got clipped by the Ferrari. Mr. Bill Haas was the passenger in the Ferrari. Apparently, from what I was told, he’s doing OK too.”
