Lowe’s Gets Slammed for Obliging a Customer’s Request That People Are Calling ‘Racist’

Lowe’s had a different stance, though, firing the manager who honored the request and at least one other employee. The corporate office said in a statement that the request should never have been honored.

“The situation brought to our attention was troubling and an investigation was immediately undertaken. Under no circumstances should a discriminatory delivery request be honored as it is inconsistent with our diversity and inclusion core values and the request should have been refused,” it said. “The investigation has concluded and the individuals involved are no longer with company.”

Bradley says he will keep working at Lowe’s, as he has for 11 years.
