The suspect in the bank shooting in Louisville, Kentucky was livestreaming on Instagram as he killed four people and injured nine others, three of which are still in critical condition, officials said at a third press conference on the event Monday afternoon, April 10.
The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Connor Sturgeon, Louisville Interim Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel said. The chief said the man was an employee of the bank and used a rifle in his deadly assault.
She added the suspect was killed by police as they arrived on scene within three minutes of the first 911 call being received.
The chief also gave updates on the two officers injured in the assault, one of which is in critical condition.
