Lower East Side restaurant Louie & Chan launches a new brunch menu this weekend.
Located where Chinatown meets Little Italy, the restaurant features a cozy Italian trattoria upstairs and an Asian-inspired cocktail lounge downstairs.
Executive chef Kevin Chun, formerly of Yunnan Kitchen and Macao Trading Co., is creating modern interpretations of classic Italian dishes.
The brunch menu includes Roasted Housemade Fennel Sausage Carbonara over Parmesan Polenta Cake; brunch pizza with Guanciale, Rosemary Potatoes, Pickled Mustard Seeds and Crispy Organic Eggs; Uova al Tegamino (wood-oven baked eggs, tomato, buffalo mozzarella, and Parmigiano).
The brunch special, at $24.95, includes one entree and three drinks.
