Lou Reed was released from a Long Island hospital on Monday after he had an emergency on Sunday morning.
The New York Post reported that the former Velvet Underground singer was sent to the hospital after a dispatcher took a call that an adult male was suffering from dehydration.
It reported Monday that a hospital worker said that “everything’s fine” regarding his condition.
Reed, 71, made his first public appearance in months at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity after he underwent a liver transplant.
“How could time go that quickly?” he said, according to Fox News. “The other day, I was 19. I could fall down and get back up. Now if I fall down. you are talking about nine months of physical therapy.”
After he had the liver transplant, Reed described himself as a “a triumph of modern medicine, physics and chemistry,” according to a Facebook Post. “I am bigger and stronger than ... ever,” he added.
