LOS ANGELES—The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose to its 2021 high on Sept. 26, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $4.408.

The previous high was $4.407, set Sept. 13, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The average price of gas has increased four consecutive days, rising 1.1 cents, including one-tenth of a cent on Saturday.

The average price is eight-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 1.4 cents higher than one month ago and $1.202 greater than one year ago. It has risen $1.176 since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose for the third consecutive day, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.362, nine-tenths of a cent less than the 2021 high of $4.371 set Aug. 27. It has risen 1 cent over the past three days, including three-tenths of a cent Saturday.

The Orange County average price is a half-cent more than one week ago, one-tenth of a cent higher than one month ago and $1.19 greater than one year ago. It has risen $1.154 since the start of the year.
