Lodi: 5 Dead in Crash, Including 11-year-old Irving Miranda

Five people are dead after a huge crash in Lodi, California, including 11-year-old Irving Miranda and her siblings Jose Miranda, 5, and Stephanie Miranda, 4.

About a dozen others are injured after the five car crash, reported the Lodi News-Sentinel.

The other victims were the Mirandas’ father, Luis Miranda, and Vivian Rodriguez, and her unborn baby.

The crash happened at 5:21 p.m. on Tuesday near Ham and Vine, near Lodi Memorial Hospital and Lodi Middle School, reported The Record.

Three of the injured persons were in surgery on Tuesday night.

The crash is one of the worst in Lodi history, according to the News-Sentinel.

Witnesses said a man in a tan SUV came speeding through the intersection whiel on the phone; the vehicle crashed into several others.

Debris, including shattered glass and metal shards, was scattered across the roadway.
