UPDATE: The lockdown has been lifted
Little Elm High School in Dallas is on lockdown on after a student threatened on Facebook to bring a gun to school.
The school district termed it a “precautionary lockdown.”
School officials are investigating “rumor of a potential threat and possible possession of a weapon,” the district said.
The student who made the threat on Facebook is not in school today, reported Meagan Harris of WFAA.
Police are headed to the student’s home.
Rumors of shots fired on campus are incorrect, the district said later.
