At least 10 people were injured during a lightning strike in Wellington, Colorado, it was reported.
Those who were injured were farm workers, according to the Coloradoan newspaper. They were injured at Grant Family Farms north of Fort Collins.
Several of the victims lost consciousness and were taken to nearby hospitals.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office told KOAA-TV that medical personnel and fire units were deployed to the area.
The lightning strike comes amid a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of northern Colorado. Flash flood warnings were issued near High Park and Fern Lake in south-central Larimer County, according to the Denver Post.
The National Weather Service said more than 1 1/2 inches of rain has fallen in some parts.
