No one expects to hear screams coming from a discarded bag in the street, so when some pedestrians came across such a scene, they surmised what may be inside and called for help.
The streets of India would have been most frightening for one poor starving puppy, which happened to be what was screaming inside the bag.
It had been abandoned and left for dead.
Animal Aid were contacted, and they were quick to arrive on the scene.
When one rescuer approached the bag to try to help the puppy get out, it screamed in what appeared to be both fear and acute pain.
Rescuers tried to gain the poor dog’s trust by offering it food. It was so starving that their ploy worked, and they were able to carry it away for treatment.
It was suffering from a severe case of mange and an injured leg.
Soon, with love, good food, and plenty of play, this dog, later named Jumper, underwent a remarkable recovery and transformation.
“After 6 weeks of medicine and care, meet Jumper today!” the group wrote.
You will hardly recognize Jumper from the pitiful dog that he once was.
