Leonardo DiCaprio was slashed in the face with a broken bottle in 2005 and his attacker was sentenced to two years in prison, the BBC reported on Wednesday.

While they were at a party in Hollywood, Aretha Wilson, 40, allegedly hit DiCaprio with a broken bottle after sneaking in.

"As a result of the assault, Mr. DiCaprio suffered a laceration to the left side of his neck, requiring several sutures," police said at the time, according to the Los Angeles Times. The attack eventually left a scar on his face and neck.

She pleaded no contest on assault with a deadly weapon charges.

Wilson has already spent one year in prison and has time off with good behavior. She will probably have to serve another six months.

At the time Wilson said that she thought DiCaprio was a former boyfriend and then fled to her home country of Canada. She was extradited back to the United States.
