Rimes's publicist, Rhett Usry, told People magazine on Tuesday that the two “were engaged over the holidays and are very happy.”
“So funny, my dear publicist is the same rep for Natalie Portman and me,” Rimes tweeted on Monday. Portman also got engaged over the holidays to her Black Swan choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
Rimes and Cibrian starred in the 2009 Lifetime original TV movie Northern Lights.
