LeAnn Rimes and comedian Kevin Nealon were among those who witnessed a plane crash in Aspen, Colorado on Sunday.

The crash was followed by an explosion. Officials told ABC that three people were on board the plane. One was killed, one has major injuries, and the other has moderate injuries.

“Horrible plane crash here at Aspen airport,” said witness Kevin Nealon via Twitter, one of the first to tweet from the scene. “Exploded into flames as it was landing.”

Epoch Times was one of the first to report the crash, mostly based on eyewitness tweets and supplemented by information from officials.

Nealon said fire trucks and ambulances were on the scene within minutes.

Rimes sent out one tweet: “So sad! Horrible plane crash we just saw happen at the Aspen airport.”

The airport is technically known as Aspen–Pitkin County Airport, and also as Sardy Field.
