A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) worker was shot at the Los Angeles Airport (LAX) Terminal 3 on Friday morning, according to reports.

The Los Angeles Times and CBS Los Angeles reported that a TSA agent was shot and was rushed into an ambulance.

The Times reported that the suspect was wounded.

The terminal was evacuated in the morning.

Other reports said that between two and three people were shot.

Bill Reiter of Fox, who is on the scene, said that he’s hearing from witnesses that three of four gunmen rushed the area, but that that is ubsubstantiated as of yet.

“There are now putting people on buses, there are hundreds of people on the tarmac,” he said via Twitter. “Still chaos.”

“There are alarms sounding and a police helicopter overhead,” he added. “People all over the tarmac, getting too close to the planes, being ushered back. A dozen TSA officials are standing nearby, They have no idea what’s going on, some are calling loved ones.”

A number of witnesses in the airport heard gunshots.
