Police said more than 1,000 people were involved in a brawl at the Radisson Hotel near the Los Angeles Airport on Monday, but there were no major injuries, according to reports.
The incident took place at the hotel on West Century Boulevard, which was the site of a a Kappa Khristmas Jam & Toy Drive, a Christmas party event, and a Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity event, reported ABC News.
The fight broke out in a bathroom at the hotel, and it initially involved two dozen people. But when others tried to stop the fight, the brawl spread even more.
Officials said that as many as 1,500 people were involved at one point.
There were reports that tables and chairs were thrown during the incident.
“It was pretty bad. The whole party was engulfed in pepper spray. You could feel it in your lungs,” a witness told the station.
Another witness added: “I saw a fight and this guy got sucker punched and got knocked out completely,” CBS reported.
The fight was broken up finally at 1:30 a.m.
There were no arrests made.
