A dry ice bomb exploded in an employee bathroom near the Bradley Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Monday night.

Police and a bomb squad were responding to a suspicious package report when the dry ice bomb exploded.

The response comes a day after a dry ice bomb exploded at the airport, also in an employee bathroom.

Andrew Blankstein of NBC reported that one detonated and two others did not. “No danger to public,” he said. The explosion happened near gate 148 in the Tom Bradley Terminal.

Los Angeles Airport Police Sgt. Karla Ortiz had previously told KTLA that the LAPD was responding to reports of a suspicious package in a restricted area not accessible to the general public. The dry ice bomb on Sunday was set off in an employee bathroom.

A Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad was en route and the city fire department was on scene, Ortiz said.
