A flash flood warning was issued for Las Vegas on Friday night, and soon after, parts of the Las Vegas Strip were flooded.
Las Vegas police said there were reports of “numerous electrical calls such as wires down in the downtown area and tree down on Maryland Pkwy,” according to the department’s Twitter feed.
Twitter user James Miudo posted photos of the Strip’s flash flooding.
“Crazy flash flooding on the strip!!!!” he wrote.
Flooding was also reported at Craig and Pecos roads and along the Boulder Highway, according to Fox 5 Vegas.
And user JBar100 uploaded images of flooding at the Harrah’s Las Vegas parking lot. The user described the flooding as “a river.”
Ken Smith, the 8 News Now Helicopter Reporter for CBS KLAS-TV, wrote that there was “flooding near the Bellagio Fountain on southbound Las Vegas Blvd. The tourist[s] must have scrambled for cover.”
Twitter user WeHeartVegan wrote that there was flooding inside of Caesars Palace.
The Nevada Weather Service in Las Vegas issued a flash flood warning for Central Clark County in Southern Nevada until 10:00 p.m. PST.
NV Energy said that more than 33,000 customers were without power.
