LAPD officer arrested: A Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer was arrested this week for alleged lewd conduct with two children.
Miguel Schiappapietra, 28, was arrested at his home on Saturday, reported the Los Angeles Times.
The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department did not elaborate much to the Times as to the exact nature of the crimes. Officers did not disclose Schiappapietra’s relationship to the two victims, who were both under the age of 14.
However, KTLA-TV reported that he allegedly molested two girls under the age of 10 but other media reports did not disclose this information.
He was detained at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
Schiappapietra is slated to be arraigned on Tuesday at the San Fernando Superior Court, NBC Los Angeles Reported.
