Kurt Paschke, a New York Jets fan, is accused of punching a female fan after the Jets game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

A Jets spokesman told NBC that state police is investigating the fight.

Paschke’s mother said the Patriots fan was antagonizing the Jets fans during the game.

“I don’t think he realized that he was directly hitting a woman because the guy had also come up and also punched him, and he was just trying to defend himself and defend me,” said Colleen Paschke.

Charges are expected to be filed today, Tuesday.

Paschke, 38, has already done time in jail in the 1990s after he was convicted as a teen of fatally stabbing a 17-year-old, reported the New York Daily News

Colleen Paschke said that two of the Patriots fans jumped them, starting the altercation.
