Kristen Bell, who gained popularity playing the title role in TV series Veronica Mars, is returning to the small screen in Showtime’s comedy pilot House of Lies.

The House of Lies, which also stars Don Cheadle, is based on the 2006 book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time by Martin Kihn.

Cheadle, known for his roles in Traffic and Hotel Rwanda, will play Marty, an aggressive consultant, while Bell will star as Jeannie van der Hooven, a smart Ivy League graduate who works at his firm, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The series will also star Ben Schwartz and John Lawson as employees at Marty’s firm, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Bell, 30, who currently lends her voice to The CW’s Gossip Girl, will also star in the upcoming movies Scream 4, Movie 43, and Everybody Loves Whales.
