In the wake of this week’s armed burglary involving Kim Kardashian West, most of the Kardashian-Jenner family have remained quiet on social media—until now.

Kourtney Kardashian, the oldest daughter of Kris Jenner, ended her Twitter drought on Oct. 5 when she posted a cryptic passage about joy from a daily devotional book in a moment of apparent self-reflection.

“Remember that joy is not dependent on your circumstances. Some of the world’s most miserable people are those whose circumstances seem the most enviable,” reads a passage of a book she tweeted.

Kourtney and sister Kendall Jenner—who was reportedly cast to walk in Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel runway show on Oct. 4—were all in Paris when Kim was robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelry.

Kendall Jenner uploaded a photo onto her Instagram, showing her smiling and in a heart-shaped fur coat.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Kardashian will be scaling back on showing her wealth on social media. She had frequently posted expensive jewelry, including a $4.5 million ring that was allegedly stolen during the robbery.

It was reported that two men wearing masks and gloves stormed Kim’s private residence in the early morning hours of Oct. 3, tied her up, and demanded that she hand over her valuables, stealing the diamonds, a cell phone, and a wallet with $1,000. At the time of the incident, Kourtney and Kendall were partying at Paris nightclub L’Arc with bodyguard Pascal Duvier.

Kim reportedly blames herself for the ordeal and hasn’t made any public appearances since returning from Paris on Monday. Husband Kanye West was photographed leaving their New York City apartment, as it was announced that he will postpone concert shows.

The suspects are still at large as French authorities continue to investigate the case.
