This weekend saw 2 semi-finals in the HKFA League Cup.

In Saturday’s (March 19) first game at Mongkok Stadium, Kitchee were convincing 6-1 winners over Eastern, courtesy of a 4 goal haul for Rufino Sgovia, and other contributions from Alessandro Ferriera and Alessandro Leonardo, and a consolation from Roberto Affonso for Eastern.

In Sunday’s (March 20) game at Mongkok Stadium, South China won the eventual penalty shootout 3-1 after the game ended 2-all at full time, and no further goals in extra time. Cheng Siu-kwan opened the scoring for BC Rangers in the 7th minute, before goals from Felix Borja and Awal Mahama gave South China the advantage. However, a late goal from Wisdom Fofo forced the game into extra time.

In the first division, Wanchai were 2-nil victors over Yau Tsim Mong, Sun Hei were 5-nil winners against Tai Chung, Shatin won 3-1 against Lucky Mile, Citizen were 7-1 victors over Metro Gallery Sun Source, Double Flower drew 1-all with Kwai Tsing, Easyknit Property won 2-1 against Tai Po, and HKFC won 6-nil against Kwun Tong.

Tai Po lead the table with 49 points from 20 matches, with HKFC second with 41 points from the same games, and Sun Hei third with 40 points from 19 games.

In the second division, Kowloon City drew nil-all with Tuen Mun FC, Sparta Rotterdam Mutual were 1-nil winners against Eastern District, Tuen Mun won 2-1 against Tsuen Wan, Sai Kung drew nil-all with Happy Valley, Tung Sing won 2-1 against Kwok Keung, and Kwok Wah won 2-nil against Sham Shui Po.

Eastern District lead the division with 38 points from 17 matches, with Sparta Rotterdam Mutual second on 37 points from the same games, and Tung Sing third with 33 points from 16 matches.

In the third division King Mountain won 2-nil against KCC, Ornament were 5-1 victors over HKFYG, Wing Go Fu Moon drew 1-all with Fukien, Sun  International were 1-nil winners against Islands, St Josephs were 5-nil victors over Rex Global North District, and Central & Western were 2-nil winners over GFC Friends.

Central & Western lead the table with 59 points from 22 matches,with Hoi King second with 54 points from 21 games.

Yau Yee League

In the first division, Albion drew nil-all with Swiss XI, Wanderers were 1-nil victors over HKU70’s, The Store House Squadron won 2-nil against USRC, Baker Tilly Spartans won 5-nil against HKDC Mobsters, and GAS were 2-nil victors over Colts.

GAS lead the table with 44 points from 17 games, with Wanderers second with 41 points, and Albion third with 38 points, all from the same games.

In the second division, French Kiss were 4-1 victors over WYFC06, The Store House Hearts drew 1-all with GGFC, Azzurri were 2-nil winners against Antonhill, and Colloids FC won 2-1 against University.

French Kiss lead the table with 43 points from 18 games, with KCC Knights second with 37 points from 17 matches.

In the third division, CSOB were 1-nil victors over Yan Po, Green Cypress FC were 2-1 winners against Grasshoppers, CAPS won 3-2 against Dynamo, White Youth FC were 1-nil victors over HKSS, and ANP were 3-1 winners against Goal Visio.

Dynamo lead the table with 46 points from 19 matches, with ANP second with 45 points from the same games.

In the fourth division, Darts were 2-1 victors over Hung Art, Outward Bound were 2-1 winners against Scorpions, Bapcoll won 3-2 against Standard Chartered, Rising Sun were 1-nil victors over Skyline, and Friends of Barclays drew 1-all with Power 22.

Maccabi HK lead the table with 52 points from 19 matches, with Friends of Barclays second with 46 points from the same number of games.
