Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld suggested that Kim Kardashian was partly to blame for the armed heist in Paris that resulted in over $11 million worth of jewels being stolen—and apparently she feels the same way.

Known for flaunting her lavish lifestyle on social media, it was reported that Kardashian feels those postings possibly made her a target for the robbery.

“Kim’s in shock and blaming herself. She’s tearing herself up that she Snapchatted the ring so much and wore it all the time. This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does,” an unnamed source close to the Kardashian family told People magazine.

Kardashian, 35, was robbed at gunpoint during the Paris Fashion Week in the early morning of Oct. 3. It was reported that a gang of five masked men—two of whom forced their way into her private luxury hotel room—gagged and bound Kardashian as she begged for her life.

The men stole a jewelry box containing valuables worth $7 million dollars, a ring worth nearly $4.5 million, a cell phone, and a wallet containing $1,000 in cash.

The ring was reportedly a gift from husband Kanye West, and despite this, Kardashian doesn’t want her husband of two years to replace the stolen diamond.

“Kanye wants to buy her the ring again but she just says she doesn’t want to think about it. He says he wants everything to go back to normal and for the incident to not affect their lives,” the source added.

The reality television star is reportedly traumatized over the incident and has had difficulty falling asleep at night since returning to New York City with her mother Kris Jenner on Monday.

Kardashian hasn’t made any public appearances and has not posted anything to social media since the attack. West rescheduled several show dates from his “Saint Pablo” tour in wake of the event.

Five men are still being sought by French police as the investigation continues.
