Actress Kim Cattrall has said that her brother has died, after previously appealing for information on his whereabouts.

Christopher Cattrall, 55, went missing from his home in Alberta, Canada, on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

“Sex and the City” actress Kim Cattrall appealed for help on social media to find him.

But less than 24 hours later, Canadian police said that he had been found dead.

On Sunday, Cattrall posted to Twitter, “It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall.”

Cattrall thanked her followers for the “outpouring of love and support” they had shown and asked for privacy.

Officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they found Christopher on his rural property in Blackfalds, Alberta, reported CNN.

The cause of death was not suspicious, police said, although they did not say why it wasn’t considered suspicious.

In an Instagram post written after her brother had gone missing, Cattrall said, “His keys, cell phone,& wallet left on the table and his front door unlocked. This is not like Chris. He would never leave his unlocked home without those items nor his 7 beloved dogs.”
