Gunshots fired at Kent State University on Wednesday night have prompted a lockdown.

Officials say that there are no reported injuries.

Spokesman Eric Mansfield told Fox that police are searching for a suspect.

Mansfield told student newspaper Kent Wired that the public should watch out for a black man in dark gym shorts.

Photos from campus show police with rifles and gear inside the Business Administration building.

Sydney Bachochin, a student at the school, said via Twitter: “Shots fired literally right near my dorm. They have us locked down so tight we can’t even open up our doors...”

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is advised contact the police at 330-672-3070.
