Kendra Wilkinson has reportedly taken her husband, ex-NFL player Hank Baskett, back after an affair.

Wilkinson, a reality TV star, told Us Weekly that the two are “happy” and “everything is great.” She added: “It’s going to take a lifetime to trust him again.”

Baskett noted that their relationship is “day-to-day.” He added, “I’m still working on regaining Kendra’s trust,” via MailOnline.

As the two reconcile, Baskett noted that he has suffered from severe depression following the end of his NFL career.

Baskett said that after he was released from the Minnesota Vikings in 2011, his self-esteem dropped and he “completely lost [his] identity” and “felt like a failure” because he was out of work.

“For 20 years, my life was, ‘Catch the football! Catch the football!’” he said, via RadarOnline, adding that he “started holding everything in because [he] felt like no one could understand.”

He said he went “through a serious struggle with depression, and during that time … lost the ability to open up to [his] best friend, Kendra.”

“I had trouble thinking of the right thing to say the right way, especially in a situation like this, where it’s your word against someone else’s,” Baskett added. “One wrong word and I could lose everything.”

He told Us that he considered suicide for a moment, saying “there was a point where I felt that I couldn’t defend myself and there was no way for me to make it through this… but I realize there’s no way I could ever check out on my kids and my wife.”

But he stipulated, “I’m not a quitter.”
