Kendra Wilkinson recently broke down this week in describing her husband’s depression.

“The only thing I can really say is not paying attention to severe depression with my husband,” Wilkinson said, according to Us Weekly. “I wish to God I...” she added.

“There’s such a thing as depression you know, even if you’re a big guy, it’s real,” she said. “You have to hear people’s cries. Because I didn’t. He came to bed so many times crying and he needed me you know, and I wasn’t there for him.”

Recently, Wilkinson and husband Hank Baskett have had marriage troubles. There were rumor the two would split up, but in a recent interview, they’ve both insisted to continue.

“There’s such a thing as depression you know, even if you’re a big guy, it’s real,” she added. “You have to hear people’s cries. Because I didn’t. He came to bed so many times crying and he needed me you know, and I wasn’t there for him.”

Baskett has said he’s struggled with depression after his NFL career ended.

“For the past two years, I’ve gone through a serious struggle with depression, and during that time I lost the ability to open up to my best friend, Kendra,” Hank told Us Weekly.

“For 20 years, my life was, ‘Catch the football! Catch the football!’” he also said, according to RadarOnline, adding that he “started holding everything in because [he] felt like no one could understand.”

Basket added that he went “through a serious struggle with depression, and during that time … lost the ability to open up to [his] best friend, Kendra.”

“I had trouble thinking of the right thing to say the right way, especially in a situation like this, where it’s your word against someone else’s,” Baskett continued. “One wrong word and I could lose everything.”
