Kemp terminally ill fan: Baseball player Matt Kemp treated a terminally ill fan with a jersey, cleats, and a hat several weeks ago. He had another surprise up his sleeve.

Kemp flew the fan, Joshua Jones, a 19-year-old, and his family out to Los Angeles to see the Dodgers play on their home turk.

Jones got to meet with Dodgers president Stan Kasten, and another Dodgers player, Clayton Kershaw, reported Yahoo!

The game was on May 27.

“Just being here is cool,” Jones told the Los Angeles Daily News. “It’s really nice of him to do that. He’s a good player.”

“We didn’t expect any of this,” said Steve, Jones’ dad. “We asked Tim Wallach to come over (in San Francisco) and I expected Matt would maybe give an autograph or come say hi. We both had our mouths open. ‘Wow. What’s he doing?’ And then to fly us down here.”
