A recent update from Kelly Preston confirmed that her and husband John Travolta are expecting a new child. The pair is also continuing to raise funds to assist Haiti earthquake victims.
A statement from the family was posted on Kelly Preston’s website informing friends and fans that the pair is expecting another child in addition to their daughter Ella. No word has been given detailing whether they know if it will be a boy or a girl.
“It’s impossible to keep a secret… especially one as wonderful as this. We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to our family,” read the statement.
Preston, a Neutrogena spokesperson and actress, recently worked on Disney’s “The Last Song” starring Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear. The release of “The Last Song” was accompanied by a charity event that raised $20,000 to support the Boy Scout Troop 331 of Ocala.
Travolta won an Academy Award for his work in 1994’s Pulp Fiction but started out as a television personality in the 70’s on Welcome Back Cotter. He recently starred in Old Dogs with Robin Williams.
Preston and Travolta were married in 1991 and have one child named Ella. The couple had a son named Jett that they lost to a seizure while vacationing in the Bahamas. The family also struggled with extortionists following the death of their son.
Preston and Travolta have worked together on different charity events through out the years. They are currently raising money to support Haiti earthquake victims. The duo sent 16 doctors along with 4 medical assistants to Haiti after the earthquake to administer medicines, surgical supplies, vaccines, antibiotics, and provide ready to eat meals.
