Katy Perry’s gold truck--the “Prism”--was hit by a drunk driver in Pennsylvania, it was reported.
TMZ reported that the truck, which is used to promote her forthcoming album, was involved in an accident at a truck stop.
A semi driver hit the truck, causing damage to the Prism’s cab. According to TMZ, the semi driver was charged with drunk driving.
Perry was not in the truck at the time of the crash, TMZ reported. The driver and passengers in the truck were not injured.
Police said the driver of the other truck tried to flee the scene but returned.
Of the upcoming album, songwriter Bonnie McKee said it’s more “mature.”
“I’m really excited for the world to hear it because she’s just... she’s taking a new approach,” McKee told MTV in July. “And I don’t want to say too much about it, but it’s definitely different. It’s definitely a little more mature than the ‘California Gurls’ of yesterday.”
