Katie Capp has been named as the object of a widespread search by New Zealander Reese McKee, who met her in Hong Kong years ago.
McKee saw Capp on the side of the road crying in Hong Kong and they ended up spending the night drinking and dancing.
He recently launched a campaign on Facebook to find Capp, only knowing her first name and few other details about her.
Friends and others came to his aid and found Capp, but ended up bombarding her with so many messages that she deleted her account. McKee then feared that Capp wouldn’t want to speak with him.
Now Capp tells the Daily Mail that she does want to speak with McKee. She said she is waiting for his call, though she’s not sure whether she likes him.
“I haven’t made up my mind yet about whether I like him or not. I’m still waiting for him to get in touch,” she said.
Capp is spending her junior year studying abroad in France.
“I don’t have a boyfriend. But I don’t want to say anything until I’ve spoken to Reese,” she said. “And he hasn’t been in contact yet.”
