For the past two months or so, there’s been a spate of different rumors--some citing “inside” sources--saying Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is pregnant with baby No. 2.
The rumors have been coming strong as Prince George’s first birthday is on Tuesday, July 21.
According to E! Online in a recent report, a number of tabloids are claiming that Kate will have her second child.
Kensington Palace has not commented on the rumors.
E! examined a couple of signs suggesting that Kate is pregnant. She has been “making some surprising choices in the fashion department. Case in point? She wore a green coat to celebrate the start of the Tour de France in July, zipping up the jacket (wasn’t it hot outside?) and even concealing her tummy with a small clutch,” E! says.
Vanity Fair, citing unnamed sources, claimed that there’s rumors the two are trying to have another child, but it didn’t say Kate was expecting.
“They take George to playdates at the homes of friends, among them Kate’s old Marlborough friend Alice St. John Webster, who has a baby several months older than George,” the article says. “As for speculation about when Prince George will have a sibling, Nicholl reports that there are rumors among the couple’s friends that they plan to try this summer.”
Hollywood Gossip also said she’s currently pregnant. Kate’s longtime friend, Jessica Hay, allegedly “confirmed” she’s going to have another child, the report said.
“Kate’s inner circle are buzzing with the news that she is expecting,” Hay said. “I’ve heard it from several different friends of theirs now and they’re saying that they think there’s going to be an official announcement in weeks.”
“Kate’s face is fuller like it was when she was first expecting George and she’s been changing her hair, which could be to disguise the fullness.”
“She has rosy cheeks, she’s letting her greys show again, and whenever she’s out in public she goes to great lengths to hold something over her tummy.”
