A Pakistan International Airlines bound for Dubai caught on fire but landed safely at the Karachi airport on Sunday.
Sialnews.com reported that fire officials rushed to Quaid-e-Azam International Airport to deal with the fire.
The plane was flying over Shahrahe Faisal when the fire erupted.
An explosion was also heard in the area.
“The airport was prepared to allow for the plane to make an emergency landing,” Express News correspondent Nadeem Ahmed reported.
