Jyoti Amge, the world’s smallest living woman, has joined the cast of American Horror Story.
Amge is not a hoax; her height of 2'6” (62.8 centimeters) was documented by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Amge, now 20 as she was born on December 16, 1993, has been on television before. She was featured in a documentary called Body Shock: Two Foot High Teen, and also appeared on Bigg Boss 6, a kind of Indian Big Brother.
Her exact role hasn’t been specified but season 4 of American Horror Story focuses on a traveling carnival, so it makes sense for her to be one of the strange attractions that the carnival uses to draw people in.
Amge is of Indian origin, born in Nagpur. She weighs 12 pounds, only nine pounds more then she did at birth, reported the Daily Mail.
She has a form of dwarfism call achondroplasia, which stopped her growing after her first birthday. It has also left her with brittle bones.
Though she’s so short, she’s not the shortest woman ever. That record is still held by Pauline Musters of the Netherlands, who was born 12 inches at the time of birth, and was 21.5 inches at nine years of age, weighing only 3 pounds. Musters, known as Princess Pauline, died of pneumonia at the age of 19, when she was about 24 inches.

But Amge told the Sun newspaper a while back that she harbors ambitions to became a star actress.
“I want to make people happy,” she said.
Speaking after she was crowned the world’s shortest woman back in December 2011, she added:
“It’s been my dream to be recognised as the world’s smallest woman for many years. I’m now a woman so I hope I don’t have to wait much longer!”
There is no sign in any articles about Amge of either a husband or boyfriend. Many people looking for information about her wonder about that. But Amge did say that she is treated like a normal woman, and enjoys doing makeup, going shopping for clothes with friends, and watching movies.
American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere in October.
