This is not an average 16 year old high school junior, as he has accomplished what few people ever will. Along with 3 college degrees, he also received a perfect SAT score, a 2400.
From Sacramento, Maadhav Shah was only a junior when he took the SAT for the first time. While he was in high school, he took separate classes at a university in which he recieved 3 associate’s degrees.
“I wasn’t expecting a 2400. When I saw it I checked to make sure it was my name and email and then I was really happy with it.”
In 2013 more than a million took the SAT. In that million who took it, only around 500, around 0.03%, received a perfect score. Shah was one of the 0.03% in the United States to receive the score.
“I took a bunch of practice tests. I self prepared using online and written resources. I started preparing 5-6 weeks before the test.”
Shah will soon be applying to 4 year universities. He is hoping to pursue a degree in engineering. He is taking additional classes during the summer to learn more about engineering.
Shah said, “I want to learn more about robotics and engineering. Hopefully I can make a contribution to this community that will be lasting.”
