Six people were shot in Philadelphia on Oct. 6, leading one news anchor to tweet a comparison with “Breaking Bad.”

“Thought ‘Breaking Bad’ was hot last Sunday? See who’s breakin‘ bad in SW Philly leavin’ 6 people SHOT - Tonite at Ten!” said Joyce Evans, a reporter and anchor with Fox.

Her tweet spawned a lot of anger, and questioning over whether the remark was appropriate.

“Worst local news tease ever?” said Jason McIntyre.

“Tasteless tweet of the night,” said Ellen Gray.

Evans defended the tweet.

“Last tweet NOT AST ALL A JOKE. Very real life drama was the point as oppose to one that end on tv. That was my point,” she said.

“This is a very real life drama. Not gonna have a tv ending,” she added.
