Congratulations are in order for newly married couple Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti.
The funnyman revealed the news on Monday, April 25, during an appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
“I am married to actress Chelsea Peretti,” said Peele who appeared with his comedic accomplice, Keegan-Michael Key. Peele and Key—often confused for one another—shared facts about each other to help fans differentiate between the two comedians on the late night talk show host.
Key jokingly said he and Peretti aren’t married—they’re “just dating.”
As for the happy couple, Peretti and Peele began dating in 2012, and got engaged in 2015. The couple announced their engagement via Twitter.
“My fiancé (lololol) @JordanPeele proposed to me last night during the family talent show lolol,” Peretti tweeted to her followers on Twitter last year. Peele, 36, announced the news on his own Twitter account, tweeting a diamond ring emoji alongside Peretti’s Twitter handle.
Since then, the pair were featured in advertisements for Booking.com surrounding their impending nuptials. In one ad, the couple searches for a destination wedding, envisioning themselves on an island sharing laughs. In another advertisement, the couple tiredly jumps up and down on a trampoline in preparation for their beach wedding.
The couple decided to elope as documented on Peretti’s Instagram page. The 38-year-old actress uploaded a picture on Tuesday, April 26, of her Hawaiian shirt-clad dog sitting beside a bouquet of flowers and a wedding band. She captioned the photo, “Eloped a bit ago … our only witness was this lil guy.”
