Paul McCartney hosted Saturday Night Live with actor Paul Rudd on Dec. 11, three days after the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death.

The two Pauls put on various comedy skits including a serious newsroom sketch, and a musical scene called Stumblin in which McCartney danced next to Rudd, playing a miniature harmonica to the tune of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5."

McCartney, 68, also sang several classics, including "Jet" and "Band on the Run," along with Lennon's "Give Peace a Chance," in which he paid tribute to his fellow former Beatle, who was assassinated in New York on Dec. 8, 1980.

Sir Paul has two more performances planned for Christmas—one concert in London and the other in his hometown of Liverpool.

"I always love playing to a home audience and, for me, it’s the perfect way to end the year," McCartney told the Daily Mail.
