Jodi Arias, who has remained active on Twitter while in jail, announced that she won’t be using the social media service for a while.
Arias has reportedly been using the service with the help of friends and family members, to whom she conveys what she wants tweeted.
She has a relatively popular account, with over 79,000 followers.
Arias said that as of January 30, she’s not going to tweet for a while, calling it a “temporary” but “probably long-term” move.
“I’m thinking of giving control 2 someone else. Hopefully, they'll tweet updates & cont. the quote trend, but that will be @ their discretion,” she said. “Whoever takes over this acct. 4 the time being will NOT be representing my views, opinions, philosophies, beliefs, or creeds--but their own.”
She added that she is “crushed with mail.” To anyone sent her mail but doesn’t receive a reply, “know that I hear U & feel your love. I’m humbled,” she said.
Arias was convicted of murdering her boyfriend Travis Alexander but the sentencing phase of the trial ended without a unanimous decision from the jury, prompting a new jury to get picked.
Jury selection begins on March 17.
