Jimmy McMillan, founder of the Rent is Too Damn High Party, officially endorsed New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner on August 1.

McMillan didn’t state his reason for the endorsement, but posted a photo of the two together on his Twitter account, which has 71 followers.

Anthony Weiner, the former congressman, resigned from congress amid a sexting scandal that has taken on new dimensions recently as it was revealed he had continued sexting through mid-2012.

Weiner is among the top Democratic candidates, according to the most recent poll
