The body of Jholie Moussa, a teen who went missing earlier this month, may have been located, according to police in Fairfax County, Virginia.

“A body has been discovered in Woodlawn Park in the 4800 block of Manor Drive in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County. Homicide and crime scene detectives are processing the scene. We are still working to identify the body,” Fairfax County Police tweeted.
Fairfax police didn’t identify the person who died, but WUSA9 reported that the body was found less than one mile from Moussa’s home.

Homicide and crime scene detectives are currently processing the scene, and they’re still working to identify the body, WUSA9 reported.

Several family members told the broadcaster that they’re fearful that it’s Moussa, WUSA9 reported.

Sources also told FOX 5 that her family was notified about the discovery of the body. They’re on standby for updates.

Julie Parker, Media Director for Fairfax Police, told the station that the body was found at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26. It was found off a path near the tennis courts and was covered in debris and leaves.

FOX 5 DC reported that Moussa was last seen on Jan. 12 in the 4200 block of Sonia Court. She was reported missing the next day.

The FBI started investigating her disappearance last week.
