John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport reopened for departures only at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. EST on Monday, respectively, after they closed Sunday evening due to snowstorms.

Yet, that does not mean everyone can now leave New York.

“Well JFK opens at 6 p.m. tonight, but our flight is going to be delayed tomorrow till tomorrow evening rather than tomorrow morning,” tweeted @hipsterbella.

LaGuardia Airport reopened at 4 p.m. on Monday after a 12-hour shut down.

New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport, which closed at 4:10 p.m. on Monday, will reopen Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 8 a.m.

As of 6:30 p.m., all major airports across the country were up and running except Teterboro Airport, although some with more delays than others.

New York is expecting clear weather with blowing snow in certain areas, Monday evening, with a low of about 19 degrees. The snowfall had left 20 inches of snow in Central Park by 8 a.m. Monday, the most for December since 1948, according to the National Weather Service.
