JetBlue, Alaska Airlines, Virgin Australia, United Airlines, and American Airlines on Monday night and early Tuesday morning said on their Twitter feeds that their booking and ticketing services were down.

“Our IT team is working on it and hope to have it back up as soon as possible. We don’t have an estimated time frame,” it wrote at around 12:30 a.m.

It added: “Looks like we’re experiencing some website and booking system issues. We’re working on getting it back up and running ASAP!”

Virgin Australia wrote that the global “Sabre” registration system was down, causing the technical problems.

American Airlines wrote: “Our system is currently down ... We’re unable to rebook you at this time. Our apologies.” It also wrote: “Our system is down. We hope to have it restored as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.”

KING-5 News in Seattle reported that Alaska Airlines was also down.
