Jennifer Lawrence bullied: After winning an Academy Award for “Silver Linings Playbook,” Jennifer Lawrence revealed in a recent interview that she was bullied as a child.
Jennifer Lawrence in a recent interview with The Sun said that she was bullied “a lot” when she was a child.
The “Silver Linings Playbook” actress said that “I changed schools a lot when I was in elementary school because some girls were mean.”
She added, “They were less mean in middle school, because I was doing all right, although this one girl gave me invitations to hand out to her birthday party that I wasn’t invited to.”
Lawrence, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, said this didn’t bother her, however.
“But that was fine, I just hocked a loogie on them and threw them in the trash can,” she said.
Regarding those who aren’t so nice, she said, “You'll come across people like that throughout your life,” so there is no need to worry.
Lawrence’s admission comes just after several, high-profile bullying incidents in the United States.

Last week, a Philadelphia boy died while he was in a medically-induced coma. His family said he suffered seizures and other difficulties after two kids beat him months ago.
The boy’s death prompted Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice to keep up his public campaign against bullying.
“I don’t think I will ever be able to understand why kids bully each other and how we are all sitting here after yet another ‘bully death’ getting ready to go through this difficult task of picking up the pieces and the even more difficult task of forgiving so we can heal,” the Super Bowl-winning tailback wrote in a Facebook posting on Monday.
He added: “I will NOT give up my fight. Everyday I will continue to fight AGAINST bullying and fight FOR kindness.”
