Jefferson County: ‘Active Shooter’ Scene; Trooper Shot, Brockway Schools on Lockdown

A Pennsylvania state trooper was shot and injured on Thursday in Brockway, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. Police said there is an “active shooter” scene and all schools in the Brockway School District are on lockdown.

Residents were told to stay away from the scene at Cemetery Hill Road, according to CBS Pittsburgh.

Police told the station that troopers were serving a warrant when someone shot the one of them.

The trooper was sent to a nearby hospital.

A police spokesperson told WJAC-TV that the incident is an “ongoing situation.”
