Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, Paul Walker’s girlfriend of seven years, took the news of Walker’s death hard.
Jim Torp, an engineer at the Reach Out Worldwide charity that Walker founded, was next to Pilchard-Gosnell when he received the news that Walker had died.
“When I told her what happened she fell, she collapsed,” Torp told Hollywood Life.
After Pilchard-Gosnell, 23, recovered, she had the tough task of breaking the news of the death to Walker’s 15-year-old daughter Meadow.
“I believe she is the one who told Meadow about what happened, and when she found out she was hysterical and crying,” Torp said. “It was just so sad. I tried to do everything I could to help them. Paul’s girlfriend then took Meadow and drove her home. I don’t know if they drove to crash site. I just know they were in so much anguish.”

Pilchard-Gosnell and Walker had been dating since 2006.
“Paul was a really good guy and Jasmine is broken up by this,” Barton Bruner, Jasmine’s uncle, told the Daily Mail.
“They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together. This is horrible news and unexpected. Her mother is with her and she is comforting her.”
Bruner said that Walker had joined Pilchard-Gosnell’s family for Thanksgiving. And Bruner had just played golf with him as well.
Pilchard-Gosnell is a college student and lives in Santa Barbara, California, according to her Facebook page. She and Walker both enjoyed being outdoors at the beach and hiking.
Walker died in a car crash on November 30. Roger Rodas, Walker’s friend, was driving the car, and also died.
