Japan’s prime minister will visit India next week with a focus on promoting a “free and open Indo-Pacific” amid concerns over Beijing’s military assertiveness in the region, according to the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
The ministry stated that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will embark on his two-day visit to India on March 19 and meet with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, to discuss bolstering the Japan–India strategic partnership.
