Janet Jackson, the pop singer, recently dispelled rumors about her getting a divorce with husband Wissam Al Mana.
A source close to Jackson told ET Online that they’re still together.
“The rumors about their marriage are a lie. They are very happy and very much together. In fact, the couple has recently purchased an even larger home in New York,” a source close to the couple said.
Another source said that their relationship has changed since they got married
“From what I was told, she never said divorce,” the insider told E! News a week ago. “From what I’m told, she’s staying with him.”
The source added: “All the bliss that Janet experienced pre-marriage with Wissam and in the first couple of months is gone.”
Rumors were recently flying that the marriage “collapse,” and it was rumored that her mother Katherine Jackson and close friends were informed that she was going to have a divorce or be separated it.
The two got married in 2012, denying rumors of a massive wedding.
“The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true,” the couple said in a joint statement a year ago. “Last year we were married in a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony.”
They added, “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet.”
