Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy have denied multiple times that they’re romantically involved but the evidence to the contrary seems to keep building up.
The latest piece is a picture that shows the Dancing With the Stars team kissing and holding hands at a Halloween party in Beverly Hills.
At the party over the weekend, the pair also matched costumes–both arriving as a cat. Each had a pair of ears on top of their head while Janel wore a lacy shirt with an open long-sleeve on top and a necklace.
Val wore an open black vest, and had whiskers painted on his face.
“He literally sewed cat ears to his hat. Props V. I’m impressed,” Janel said.
The dating rumors about the two have kept increasing, and were recently fueled by Janel’s split with boyfriend Payson Lewis.
Val addressed the obvious passion between the two during the introduction to their dance in the most recent episode of Dancing With the Stars.
“What is my relationship with Janel? Is there an attraction between us two?” Chmerkovskiy told the camera. “I don’t know. I think nature just made things work that way. She’s my partner, she’s my friend, I want to see her do well.”
“Whatever feelings I have for Janel, it can’t be phrased in a bite,” he said. “I’m sorry, America. Stay tuned!”
“I adore Val,” Parrish added. “The tricky part is not bringing any of those feelings … whatever they may be for each other … into rehearsal.”
Soon after Janel broke up with Lewis, she and Val went out to dinner with Val’s brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner last year Meryl Davis.
Val and Janel even got hooked up to a lie detector test on Access Hollywood recently as the hosts probed their relationship.
They were asked a series of questions about each other.
They admitted that they shared a meal together–but said that it wasn’t “going out to dinner.”
They also addressed their kiss, with Janel claiming that the one caught backstage was “on the cheek” and that the “camera angle” was wrong, but the detector said that it was a lie.
Janel was asked whether she has romantic feelings about Val, and the detector showed that it was a “very questionable” response. “I can’t tell,” said the man running the detector. Val was then asked the same question, and he said yes.
