Jane Fonda “not afraid”: Oscar-winner Jane Fonda recently said she is “not afraid of dying” in a recent interview.

Following a cancer diagnosis three years ago, Jane Fonda opened up to Oprah this week about her life and aging.

The 75-year-old actress said, “I’m not afraid of dying,”

Fonda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and said despite her battles with the disease, she finds life “exhilarating.”

“I think it’s wonderful. The fact that I made it and I’m all in one piece. You know a couple years ago I got breast cancer, and that was a good test, because I always said I’m not afraid of dying,” she said, according to the Huffington Post. Fonda’s interview will air on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” on Sunday

“And I wasn’t. I mean, I felt, god, I’ve just joined a family of millions of women who have gone through this. And how interesting. What a journey this is going to be. [I thought], you know, maybe I'll make it and maybe I won’t. I didn’t get scared. I hope I don’t die. But I’m not scared of dying,” she continued, according to People magazine.

When she was diagnosed with cancer, Fonda and her representatives said that doctors were able to act quickly to get rid of it.

“I am so lucky,” Fonda told the Daily Mail. “We got it early and it was, as I said, non-invasive. I want to thank my friends and fans who have written beautiful letters. It has meant a lot to me.”

And her publicist told the paper at the time: “She’s 100 per cent cancer free. She’s completely fine and it’s-business as usual for her.”
